The big Labor Day weekend is upon us, and it will be a busy one for VS&LP. The first stop is Wednesday evening in Manchester, TN to tape a segment on the WMSR 1320 AM radio Bluegrass Show, hosted by our friends Dennis Flatt and Jeff Haley. The show will air at 8am on Saturday morning.

Then it's off to Unadilla, GA for the Angel City Bluegrass Festival featuring VS&LP plus a great lineup including Larry Cordle, Randy Kohrs, IIIrd Time Out, and Carrie Hassler. Val plays shows at 5:00 and 8:00 pm on Thursday and 4:30 and 7:30 pm on Friday.

Then after an exhiliarating all night drive to Indiana, VS&LP performs at the Tri-State Bluegrass Festival in Kendallville at 3:10 and 9:10 pm. Other acts you'll see there include Michael Cleveland, Wildfire, and the Bluegrass Brothers.

The last stop on the whirlwind weekend is Earl Park, IN for the Earl Park Fall Fest. If you like Flea Markets and Demolition Derby's along with your Bluegrass, then this is the event for you. They have more action than you can shake a stick at including softball games, truck & tractor pulls, volleyball, a car show and Bluegrass workshops too. VS&LP will play 3:45 and 7:30pm. Good news!! Valerie is going to be showcasing with Becky Buller and her band, Liberty Pike at IBMA on September 30th at 10:35 pm. They will be celebrating the release of the new project, "Here's A Little Song".

NEWSFLASH - THE NEW ALBUMS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED! - Just in time for the UK/Ireland/Germany tour, we have received our first shipment of Val & Becky's new duet album. After some debate, the title of the new project is "Here's a Little Song". The new album will be up for sale on the website soon, and will of course be immediately available from VSLP on tour.

PRESS RELEASE Bell Buckle, TN - Valerie Smith and her band Liberty Pike featuring Becky Buller were the hosts for a live television pilot taping on Saturday, April 12th at the new Bell Buckle Music Hall. Country music legend and hall-of-famer Charlie Louvin was a special guest and performed the Louvin Brothers classic, "Cash on the Barrelhead" accompanied by Liberty Pike. Local country musician, Leroy Wells rounded out the evening entertainment.

The monthly show with the working title of "Live from the Bell Buckle Music Hall" will be taped in front of a live audience and is intended to be a showcase venue for the many fine musicians in middle Tennessee as well as for featured national touring acts. The village of Bell Buckle is a center for arts, crafts, and antiques located approximately 45 miles southeast of Nashville.
